About Amber & Ash
A small design studio in Cheshire, making personalised pieces for the home since 2021.
We make wooden name signs, animal wall art and keepsake Christmas decorations, each one cut to order in our Cheshire studio. Amber & Ash brings years of design and manufacturing experience to pieces made one at a time, for real homes and the people in them.
Our name
Ash is a strong, honest timber, prized for its structure. Amber is the warm glow of resin held up to the light. Together they describe what we aim for in everything we make: clean, precise shapes with a natural warmth that makes a room feel like home.
How we make things
Every design is drawn in our studio and cut to order on our laser. Signs and wall art are made from MDF faced with real wood veneer, in English oak, Canadian maple, European cherry or American walnut, or left as plain MDF for you to paint. Because veneer is real wood, the grain of every piece is a little different.
Name signs are cut as one joined piece, with the letters flowing into each other the way they would if you wrote them by hand. It's a detail you'll see in our Name Sign Designer, which shows any name exactly as we'd cut it.
Packed with care
We pack every order so it arrives safely and feels special to open, whether it's for your own home or wrapped up as a gift.
Where to buy
For now, everything is ordered through our Etsy shop, where checkout is secure. Our customers there have given us a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 186 reviews.
